RFID inventory is a system of automated processes for tracking quantities of goods, tracking assets, and property, which can have an effective insight into the movement of goods in any period of time.
The system has high precision and is easy and simple to use. The solution is using RFID for inventory management consisting of a scanner that uses radio waves to communicate with the RFID tag.
The tag itself contains a microchip that allows the reader to read data and also write data to the tag, in real time and on the spot.
A shipment arrives, an RFID tag is attached to the items in that shipment – either on individual boxes or on an entire pallet. Each tag has internal memory to store item information, which can be changed as it moves through various processes in the warehouse.
RFID inventory in Vitaminka consists of two types of readers: fixed and mobile (handheld). These devices can work in one way or another: either independently or in constant connection with the accounting ERP system.
RFID inventory reader is with a wide range of work, and a power of around 15 m. Fixed RFID inventory readers track the movement of tagged objects and their location. They work simultaneously with a large number of tags, which can be counted up to several thousand.
Typically, fixed inventory readers track tags via an external antenna. The RFID readers can be used in many different ways, for example for work in the warehouse, at the checkout, for shipping inspections, and in stocktaking. Robust RFID readers work trouble-free and are also perfectly suited for rough working environments.
The integrated RFID inventory system within Vitaminka includes:
- UHF RFID Reader (2 Port)
- Outdoor RFID Antenna (FCC)
- Licensed software that allows users to easily set up configurations for a single reader and quickly access
- RFID data. This software provides multiple protocols for transmitting RFID data without expensive software development costs.
- UHV RFID Tags
